Cameras on our cellphones were supposed to give us the portability and convenience to document our lives no matter where we’d go. Unfortunately, we all know that never happened.
Instead, we got tiny, grainy shots. Smeared, saturated or washed-out colors. Images and people blurred beyond recognition. Call me a luddite, but there’s something magical that happened in that space between the promise and the available tech. Somehow, we gained insight and were able to see things … differently. If only until our next contract ran out.
